Tatiana Ferri is a partner in LDCM’s complex litigation and cross border disputes practice. She has previously worked for over 10 years at the renowned disputes team of White & Case in London. In Brazil, she was General Counsel at one of the country’s largest infrastructure companies.


With over 20 years of experience in Brazil and abroad, Tatiana has represented clients in international commercial arbitrations under the rules of the ICC, LCIA and ICDR. She acted in high-profile cases across several jurisdictions and has experience in numerous industries including construction, oil and gas, energy, mining, insurance, rail, corporate, among others. Since February 2022, Tatiana is the coordinator of the Arbitration and Infrastructure Task Force of ICC Brazil.


She is a graduate of Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie and is qualified in Brazil, England, and Wales. She holds a master’s degree from Queen Mary University of London and a postgraduate degree in Administrative Law from Fundação Getúlio Vargas and in Civil Procedural Law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica of São Paulo.


Selected relevant cases:

• Advised a Russian engineering company in several aspects of a termination for convenience under a EUR 10 billion EPC contract for the construction of an LNG power plant in Russia.

• Represented a Japanese joint venture in an ICC arbitration of over US$ 10 billion, concerning additional costs, delays, low productivity and defective works in the construction of an LNG plant in West-Australia.

• Represented a Brazilian pulp company against an Indonesian group, in an arbitration under the ICC rules about the termination of a Share Purchase Agreement. Over US$ 4 billion was at stake.

• Advised a Brazilian-Australian joint venture of two global mining companies in a potential dispute against insurers following an incident in a tailings dam in Brazil.

• Represented a joint venture of two global mining companies in a mediation against insurers concerning claims for property damage and business interruption.

• Represented a concessionaire and the leading contractor in an LCIA arbitration in London against a pool of insurers. The dispute concerned one of the largest hydropower plant projects in Brazil. Over US$ 600 million was at stake.
