Marcio Araujo Opromolla (or “Bauru,” as he is known in the market) is a partner of LDCM Advogados in São Paulo. Previously, he was a partner for 18 years of Dinamarco, Rossi, Beraldo & Bedaque Advocacia and Lefosse Advogados. Over the last 25 years, Marcio represented public and private strategic agents in some of the most relevant causes of Brazil, acting in the prevention and resolution of complex national and international disputes of diverse natures and sectors of the economy.


The outstanding practical experience and high performance in civil and business demands related to M&A, agribusiness, oil & gas, construction and infrastructure, logistics and transportation matters, as well as technology, entertainment, capital markets, banking, and distressed assets, enables Márcio to meet the specific needs of each client in a specific and aligned manner.

He is also known for the technical view and efficient handling of cases under his care. In addition, Márcio acts as a consultant and risk analyst in transactions and contracts, strengthening the client’s position and preparing the case before or to avoid litigation, providing high-quality pre-litigation services. He is also an expert in crisis prevention and management.

Márcio is ranked by LACCA – Latin American Corporate Counsel Association as a leading business lawyer in Litigation and has been recognized among Brazilian Thought Leaders in Dispute Resolution since 2013. He is also recommended by The Legal 500 for his practice in Litigation and Arbitration and by the publication Análise 500 as one of the best lawyers in Brazil in the categories of Civil, Arbitration, Agribusiness, and Food and Beverage, since 2013.

Márcio is an arbitrator in commercial disputes in Brazil.

He is a member of the Brazilian Institute of Procedural Law – IBDP; the Brazil Infrastructure Institute; the Brazilian Arbitration Committee (CBAr); Instituto de Direito Privado – IDiP; and Associação Brasileira de Jurimetria – ABJ.
Márcio is a Board member of the General Assembly of the Brazilian Red Cross – SP and a member of the OAB-SP Ethics Court.
Márcio is a member responsible for the Task Force on relationships with the Judiciary Branch by ICC – International Chamber of Commerce

▪ Represented concessionaires of public services, state companies, and public entities in general.

▪ Represented private equity and venture capital funds, asset acquisition, and capital markets disputes.

▪ Represented financial institutions in credit recovery or disputes related to distressed assets.

▪ Represented creditors in judicial recovery, bankruptcy, and credit recovery cases, and debtors in restructuring cases.

▪ Acted in disputes involving issues of Economic, Regulatory, and Antitrust.

▪ Advised and represented clients in court suits related to bids and administrative contracts.

▪ Defended clients in Public Civil Actions, Citizen Suits, Writs of Mandamus, and other collective actions.

▪ Defended clients in suits against misconduct in public office, challenge of arbitration awards, and claims to annul arbitration awards.

▪ Represented clients in administrative proceedings before the CVM.

▪ Represented clients in various administrative cases before entities such as ANATEL, ANEEL, ANTAQ, ANTT, Procon, and Conar.
